I'm Daniela, owner and founder. First and foremost, thanks for being here!
I'm a proud native of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. At the age of five, I moved to the States where I was raised in a small Texas beach town, initially sparking my love for the ocean and the sun. The things I value the most apart from owning this small business are my duties as a Believer, wife, and step-momma. I attended Texas A&M University, where I received a scholarship to play women's soccer and ultimately graduated with my Bachelor's in Business.
Apart from owning and operating Morena, I also work full-time as an executive assistant at a local law firm and am training to become a yoga instructor in my free time - I like staying busy! I'm an extremely hard worker, loyal, honest, humble, funny, and stubborn at times. I also strive to be as strong, creative, happy, grateful, and curious as possible. Traveling, home decorating, reading a good book, true-crime documentaries, and working on my health are just a few things I enjoy, and I'm truly blessed and thankful to live the life I live.

Our Story
Originally called, Morena Swim, the term "morena" can mean various words in Spanish like tan, sun-kissed, brown, and dark - all things I get when I've had a little too much sun along with providing me the confidence in my skin. This shop started with a hobby for sewing, and simply wanting to make myself bikinis I felt comfortable in. That hobby turned into a passion, which then turned into a business, and now here we are. Our OG bikinis were all handmade by me, in turn being a wife, a mom, juggling school and a full-time job, plus the everyday struggles of life, it all became too demanding for me to continue the art of sewing handmade products. Although our bikinis are no longer hand-sewn by me, they are still hand-chosen and made with love. The prints, fabric, and styles are all still individually designed, picked, and tested before releasing to our customers and I pride on making sure they look beautiful on the bodies that wear them. Morena is also growing! We are so excited to announce a bigger inventory such as fitness/activewear, men's swim, kids swim, beach accessories, and Morena merch.
